TrueNAS Scale

This article will introduce the installation and configuration in the TrueNAS backend.

Backend Installation

1. After installation, log in to TrueNAS, search for UPS in the search box

2. Select System -> Services -> UPS

3. Click the Edit button on the far right

4. Fill in the password according to your needs, enter “openups” in Driver, and select

5. Select Port as auto

6. Enter your desired shutdown time, it is recommended to set 300 seconds.

Remote Wake-on-LAN (WOL)

Remote wake-up requires the host to support WOL functionality. For DIY NAS, users need to determine this themselves. You can download remote wake-up mobile apps to test whether the host supports WOL on the local area network.
