Remote Wake-on-LAN (WOL)
Introduction to WOL LAN Wake-up Function
WalleCube Smart UPS supports WOL functionality and can wake up devices that support WOL on the local area network. The following is an introduction to WOL.
Wake-on-LAN, abbreviated as WOL or WoL, is a remote wake-up technology and standard. Its function is to allow computers in sleep or shutdown state to be commanded by another computer on the local area network to wake up, restore to operating state, or change from shutdown state to startup state. This message is usually sent to the target computer by a program executed on a device connected to the same local area network.

Automatic Wake-up and Manual Wake-up
Walle Smart UPS provides two types of WOL functionality: automatic wake-up and manual wake-up.
Automatic Wake-up
Walle Smart UPS can store up to 8 MAC addresses internally. When the UPS powers on after power restoration and the power is stable, it will send WOL wake-up commands to these MAC addresses one by one.
Manual Wake-up
After the Walle Smart UPS is powered on, users can manually enter MAC addresses in the mini-program to perform wake-up operations at any time.
WOL Common Questions
- WOL has no feedback mechanism. The UPS is only responsible for sending WOL commands and does not guarantee that the device will definitely turn on. If the device does not turn on, it is recommended to try several times.
